Gifts to Grantmaking These gifts support the Community Foundation's grantmaking and may be designated for any of the initiatives, field of interest funds, discretionary funds, or grant cycle recipients.
Gifts to the Community Foundation's Unrestricted Endowment These gifts add to the permanent endowment of the Community Foundation.
Giving Later Many donors give through bequests from their estate. Charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, remainder interests in real estate, and gifts of life insurance are among the most tax effective ways to support the Community Foundation or to add to existing funds. Charitable remainder trusts have the added advantage of providing excellent income and tax benefits for the donor before their assets are turned over to charitable purposes.
